sundialsvcs Mar 03, 2005 Post id: 192967 It might help considerably if you can use a TCP/IP tool, such as Ethereal or TCPDump (I'm afraid I work in a Linux environment), I would like to try a direct AVI render instead but I get a 115 kb movie which, ofcourse, isn't really viewable. when i batch render with maya software, it works fine. I have seen a few other people online with this problem but no one seems to have a definite answer to what the deal is. You may also have two Maya session loaded, maybe a background render that has not completed and is locking the port. https://www.11secondclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=28373 Btach render needs to be able to acces localhost in order to obtain a licence just like maya.

Don't mind me! Good Luck !! im now allready complete with the introduction to maya 2011 but i cant render it. Click on the render settings option and the "render settings" dialogue window will open, the first category is the "render layer" which in your case is probably the master layer.

Choose "batch render and close" and the dialogue box will close and the render will begin on all of your chosen frames and camera angles. You might need to add Maya as an exception to the firewall.

Sometimes when I go to start a batch render, Maya will initiate the Batch and then it says its completed a few seconds later, even if the batch should take hours in the next box you'll get some file output options. anyway so guys if guys have the same problem u know now what to do ...bye!!! rendering in Maya iff is pretty solid and if it crashes you will have all the files before the crash and you can just re render the frames that where missed. Also if you're getting blank frames there is a classic old Maya trip up....."lights" if default lights are off and there are non in your scene you will get black frames. I would add, rendering .avi and .movs is not only a slower render but also a dangerous game when you start doing overnight renders.

if i try to batch render it wont work. everytime maya says rendering complete. please let me know if you know :) many thanks Mirco Return to posts indexReport Post•Re: Maya batch or AVI render problemby Arthur Pither on Jul 13, 2012 at 12:51:05 pmDear Reply 0 Kudos smokedogg

I have been able to fix it so far by simply toggling/refreshing/playing around with settings and plug-in loading before restarting the batch.

I cant agree more with the first post.... Generally this issues fixes itself after a few hours. Its a problem becasue I can make .avi movies. To fix this either wait till the process is completed for submitting another bacth or check your tasks and kill off the rogue mayabatch. 2.

It's pretty simple, render any frame of the animation and look at the render view window that opens up...in the render view you will see an "options" category that let's you
