Warning: Duplicate directory name: C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2013a\toolbox\local Warning: Initializing Handle Graphics failed in matlabrc. What I found with 2013a is that the default directory for pathdef is: c:\Users\me\Documents\MATLAB but there is no such directory.
